Welcome to
Thanington Parish Church

St Nicholas and St Faith's

We are a friendly group of people who are trying to follow the way of Jesus

Revd Nick White

We are a friendly and growing church, committed to follow the way of Jesus – loving God and loving other people. We offer a warm welcome to all – whether you have lived here for years, have only just arrived or are just visiting.

We are each on our own journey of faith but we also journey together. We worship and pray together. We learn together, trying to understand the message of the Bible for today. We don’t always agree about everything. But we do care for one another, supporting and encouraging each other through the ups and downs of life. We serve together in the church and the local community.

The Bible shows how Jesus Christ was in the business of transforming people’s lives. Many of us have stories to tell of how our lives have changed for the better through faith in Christ. We all sometimes make mistakes. But we also know God’s forgiving love and we seek to share it with others.

We want this church community to be like a jigsaw without any edge pieces, where there’s always room for other people and where God pieces us together into a picture which is full of faith, hope and love!

We meet on Sundays to worship God, to learn from the Bible, to pray and to encourage one another. All welcome.

Other church activities include midweek morning prayer, a weekly bellringing group, a monthly lunch club, ‘just looking’ courses for people interested in Christian faith, and other occasional events. We also partner with My Birth Support, who offer Mums Matter events and other courses to support the mental health and wellbeing of parents.

In all that we do, Thanington Parish Church is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. Visit our safeguarding page for more details.
