St Nicholas Church Building & Churchyard

St Nicholas Church is a Grade II* listed building. It is built of flint with stone dressings and tiled roof. It has a chancel, nave, south transept and a bell tower in place of a north transept. The chancel is Norman.  The rest is 13th Century, restored in 1846 by Butterfield. There is an early 14th century piscina. The churchyard contains some 18th century headstones with skull or cherub motifs, together with some table tombs and oval bodystones. (Information from the Historic England listing.)
