Worship

We gather for worship every Sunday at St Nicholas Church, Thanington Road, and once a month on Sunday evening at St Faiths Hall, New House Lane. All are welcome.

1st Sunday at 10am - Morning Worship

This service is a simple mix of hymns and worship songs, bible teaching and prayer.  Sometimes, there may also be a baptism within the service. At the moment, we don’t have a children’s group but we can provide activities for young children to do while they are with you during the service. Refreshments are served in the hall afterwards.

3rd Sunday of the month at 4pm - Thanington Messy Church

Messy Church is about fun and creativity, friendship and community, and faith in Jesus Christ. It’s a great way for you and your family to dip your toe into the life of the church. We start with a choice of activities. Then we gather together to sing, hear a Bible story, and pray. We finish by eating tea together. It’s planned with families and primary aged children in mind but all are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

5th Sunday - Worship Together

A few times a year, there is a 5th Sunday in the month. We vary the style of worship and we bring together the 10am and 4pm congregations to worship together, learn from and encourage one another. On a 5th Sunday the start time may vary, so check our What’s On page for more details.

2nd Sunday at 6pm - Pray for Thanington at St Faiths Hall

On the second Sunday evening of each month, we invite christians to gather at St Faiths Hall, in New House Lane, to pray for Thanington.
